The thinking classroom: a masterclass

Using and applying thinking tools and strategies in the classroom

9.30am - 3.30pm

This interactive workshop brings together teachers and pupils to reach a dynamic understanding of some thinking tools and strategies

A masterclass will be conducted with pupils during which teachers will be given the opportunity to participate and afterwards discuss the power of thinking tools and strategies as a means of providing even more captivating, challenging and creative learning.

Outcomes

  • Experience active learning and take away new skills and strategies to enhance learning and teaching
  • Learn strategies to encourage faster higher order thinking within a specific lesson
  • Understand and use at least two new strategies to enrich learning and teaching in the classroom
  • Consider how to plan for the use of thinking tools and strategies that will immediately impact on classroom practice
